We’ve all got a friend in real estate, or know someone that does right? Well my friend happens to be the agent that sold my husband and me our home and she’s a hard working woman that is always thinking of ways to better her business and make sure that her customers feel appreciated when they buy or sell with her. So what better way for a cookie baker to help her Realtor friend out than to make her cute house cookies for her showings, closings and open houses?
Suzy Q was in town for this creative burst and we came up with keys, houses, doors and moving trucks when my friend asked if I could have something ready in a couple of days. Sounded simple enough, so we whipped up a batch of the cinnamon and plain sugar cookies and went to work. I’m sure that there will be more to come of this as I can see it as a housewarming gift for friends or folks who are new to the neighborhood.
These doors are just something simple that could be bagged up and our friend could attach her business card to for tasty treats to hand out.
We figured there were those that remembered the green astro-turf welcome mats as well as the more modern brown straw type.
You can’t get in the front door without your new keys right? We used a standard key cutter and then used mini cutters to remove the hearts and triangles in the middle for a more fun look.
I couldn’t resist making these tiny little house cookies with windows, a flower box, shrubs and a door complete with a handle and mail slot.
